Dr. Jana Schmidt (Ph.D.) is a passionate medical science data scientist with close to two decades of experience in data mining, machine learning, and medical data. Currently serving as the Chief Innovation Officer at Significo, Jana is responsible for spearheading the development of our health recommendation technology, overseeing process monitoring, and leading data evaluation efforts. Known for her expertise in data privacy, data insights generation, business insights, and effective team management, Jana has been instrumental in driving impactful initiatives in the healthcare industry. She is currently leading three EU-funded research projects with Significo. Jana has 28 peer-reviewed articles and data science conference papers, and is an expert on interoperability standards, FHIR, OMOP, regulations around AI/Data in the EU, and data collection initiatives.
